From Above: Kingdom War

I woke up in the garden of flower at night, surrounded with a trees, and theres a pond in front of me with a small waterfall from the small river. As I get up slowly and look at the flowers, all the flower petals are in blue color. When Im touching one of these flowers, it felt soft and warm like a soft blanket, and it has a relaxing fragrant scent in it.

Im walking into the pond, touching the water pond, and then the water pond reflecting my image with all my past about the delta-winged plane with Jasmine Insignia shot down my old grandpa plane. When Im looking harder at the plane and the Jasmine Insignia from this reflection, it looks like Ive ever seen this plane one after the incident.

My mind was glued to the reflection from this pond for a second. Until a loud alarm sound startled me to death from nowhere, and that caused me to flinch.

*BEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEP*

0437 hours, 4 June 2003…

I flinched up from my sleep because of the emergency alarm where all the pilots has to sortieing for an urgent mission. I quickly wearing my uniform back, washing my face, combing my hair, went out from my dorm and rushing toward the briefing room for the urgent mission.

When Im rushing from the corridor to the briefing room, my mind can stop thinking about the last dream Ive had after the sleep. Where I got woken up by some creepy plane that creep me out of my dream. However, I have to forget it because I have an important mission.

When Im rushing to the briefing room, Beck patted my left shoulder in my behind, and asked.

”Always prepared as usual? ”

”Always! ” I replied while rushing through this corridor.

And then both of us rushed to the briefing room.

Inside the briefing room, all pilots are sitting in their chair waiting for the briefing. After all the pilots were inside the briefing room, the commanding officer started the briefing.

”Sorry to wake you up in this hour, but this mission is urgent. Recently, at 0346 hours, a massive amount of Valusian Royal Navy fleet and their Royal Air Force attacked Valoria Harbor and launched a surprise attack toward our mainland. And they also bring their bomber to bombing the harbor, including our Fleet that was docking in that harbor. Your mission is to stop the invasion and the attack before the Valusian Royal Troops done any single or slight damage toward our Harbor, our Fleet, and our big city near the harbor! Dismissed! ”

After the quick briefing, all the pilots, including me, rushed to the hangar to ride each of our plane for the mission.

Arrived at the hangar, the mechanics fully equipped with ground attack missiles, and fueled my F-16. I hopped down into my F-16, turning on the engine, taxiing to the runway into the takeoff zone.

At the runway, I contacted to the ATC for the take off permission. And then the ATC said.

”Wyvern-1, you are cleared to take off., ”

After that, I pushed the throttle to maximum, put the flaps to up, pulling the stick.

After Im at the 1000 feet, I put the gears on and put the flaps to the neutral, then the ATC said.

”Wyvern-1 altitude restriction cancelled. Return to your mission. Good luck! ”

0447 hours, 4 June 2003…

I, Beck (Wyvern-2), and the rest of the Pegasi squadron arrived at the Valoria Harbor in this early morning. We saw they have engulfed the harbor on fire, and they shrouded our navy fleets in with their fleets, bombers, and their fighters.

And that makes me think our defense equipments looks like stick and stones to those Valusian troops, even though Valus is much smaller than Zalanthia.

”Holy hell! Look at that! They engulfed the harbor on fire! ” said Wyvern-2, in surprised through the Comms radio.

Then Pegasi-2 replied in a slightly pitied tone.

”Oh my god, how much the damage that the Valusian forces done toward our harbor? This is the most precious harbor that weve ever had! ”

And then Pegasi-1 added.

”We cannot let this happen! We must repel those Valusian troops quickly before they did any damage to the nearby city! ” said Pegasi-1 assertively.

”This is AWACS Capricorne to all fighters. Destroy all the Valusian forces that were invading the harbor. Defend the harbor at any cost before the Valusian troops done a larger damage later on! ” said AWACS Capricorne to.

Then I said to everyone confidently.

”Did you guys hear the AWACS? Lets blow these shits away! ”

”Wyvern-1, wait! ” Beck said to me while following my lead.

”Agh, that kid! ” Pegasi-3 said in frustration, looking at my ballsy move.

After that, I push the throttle to the maximum, engaging the Valusian fighter (The F-4s and F-5s). I got a perfect lock for the Valusian F-4.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPP*

And then, I pressed the button and shot the Valusian F-4.

”Wyvern-1, Fox-2! ” I said after pressing the shoot button from my stick.

*BWOSH*

And that was a direct hit to the Valusian F-4.

”DAMMIT THAT WAS THE DIRECT HIT! ” said the Valusian F-4 pilot anxiously when hes ejecting from his destroyed plane.

After that, I engaged the Valusian F-5 on his tail.

*Beep beep beep beeeeeeeeeeeeeep*

I got a perfect lock, and then I said.

”Fox-2, ”

*BWOSH*

*BOOM*

”I CANT HOLD ON, EJECT!!! ” said the Valusian F-5 pilot when hes bailing out.

After all of us cleared several engaging fighters, its time for us to take care the Bomber plane and the Fleets that done any damage toward the Harbor.

After weve arrived at the sea near the harbor where the Zalanthian fleets were battling against the Valusian fleets, we
e got a radio communication from the Zalanthian carrier captain.

”Attention to all Zalanthian fighters, this is Captain Leonard Davis of the carrier KZF Arthur Hulkenberg speaking. We want all of you to clear out these filths before they keep damaging our precious fleets and our harbor! Anyone copy? ” said Captain Davis assertively to all of us.

”Roger that, Captain! We
e on it! ” Pegasi-1 replied.

Then Pegasi-1 gave us an order.

”I want all of you Wyvern squadron to take care of the fleets, while we
e taking care of the Bomber and the Fighter by ourselves! ” Then both of us replied.

”Roger that, Pegasi-1! ”

After that, AWACS said to us.

”Alright Wyvern squadron, weve detected 4 Destroyers, 5 Aegiss, 7 Frigates, and 3 Destroyer Submarine. Dead ahead! ”

”Wyvern squadron, destroy them all! ”

”Roger that AWACS. We
e counting on you. Lets do it together, Wyvern-1! ”

Im lowering my altitude to get a perfect lock toward the enemy fleets and shooting them all with my ground attack missiles.

*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*

And then both of us launching a multiple Ground Missile to the Valusian fleets.

”Ground missile launched! ” Said AWACS Capricorne.

And the missiles hit the various Fleets.

”Wyvern-1 sunken Destroyer 1! Frigate 1! Frigate 2! and Aegis 1! ” said AWACS Capricorne.

”Look at that! They
e dispersing! ” Said Wyvern-2 in surprise when looking at the Valusian fleets dispersing their formation and tries to juke us.

But that still won work, because me and Beck can fly as high and attacking them all in the blind spot.

”SHIT! THOSE ZALANTHIAN FIGHTERS ARE DECIMATING US! ” shouts one of the Valusian Destroyer crew when his ship is about to sink.

”Its not enough. I want more! ” said Wyvern-2 sardonically.

After that, he launched ground missiles toward the Valusian Aegis ship.

*BWOOOOOOOOOSH*

And then that was a direct hit.

The Valusian Aegis fleet decimated like getting cut by a million degree knife.

”OUR SHIP IS SINKING! THAT ZALANTHIAN FIGHTERS ARE SCARIER THAN WEVE THOUGHT! ” said the Valusian Aegis crew, panicking when the alarm is screaming in their ship.

And then the captain replied.

”ALL UNIT, EVACUATE NOW! ” said the Valusian Aegis captain.

Weve sawn many sunken Valusian fleets crew member evacuating from their damaged fleet using a lifeboat ship. However, some of them were decimated by the flames from the leaked fleet oil and it ignited from our missiles and gun. Looking at them decimated in flames makes me feel bad, terrified, yet satisfied. And I said to myself.

”This is what you get when you mess with us! ”

When Im burning down all the Valusian fleet with my Ground Missile, one of the Valusian Frigate crew said.

”ITS NO USE CAPTAIN!, WERE BEING SURROUNDED, WEVE GOTTA RETREAT! ” said the terrified Valusian Frigate crew.

And the captain replied harshly.

”I DONT CARE, WED BETTER DIE STANDING THAN LIVE KNEELING! ”

But then another frigate crew member added.

”ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FREAKING MIND, CAPTAIN?! WERE BEING DECIMATED FROM ABOVE! AND IT JUST THE TWO OF THEM! ”

”THATS PREPOSTEROUS! ITS IMPOSSIBLE 2 FIGHTERS USING A WEAK PLANE CAN DECIMATE US EASILY! ” said the frigate captain harshly and confusedly.

I can see so many sunken Valusian fleets crew members are panicking in their lifeboat, seeing us decimating them like breaking a toothpick.

Seeing them evacuated from the ship and traumatized in this ware gave me a larger painful feeling to them, although they deserve it because they damaged my comrades. Nevertheless, a good soldier should never shoot down retreating forces, because its breaking the Genettia Convention.

When my vision glued to the bailing out Valusian fleet crew on their lifeboat from above. I got an emergency comms from Pegasi-2 in a sudden.

”WYVERN SQUADRON, WE NEED SOME HELP! WERE BEING SURROUNDED BY THE VALUSIAN FIGHTERS! HELP US CLEARING OUT THOSE FIGHTERS! ”

However, I also got another comms from the sunken Zalanthian fleet crew. And he said to me.

”Thanks to your effort Wyvern squadron! The Valusian fleets are retreating! ”

”Alright, Wyvern squadron, cease your fire! Lets prioritize our friends first! ” said AWACS Capricorne to both of us.

”Understood! ” I replied while nodded.

”You got that, AWACS! ” Wyvern-2 replied in confidence.

After that, we leave the sunken Valusian fleets alone, considering most of the attacking fleets are retreating. And on my way to rescuing the Pegasi squadron that were surrounded by the Valusian fighters.

”THERES TOO MANY BOGEYS ON MY SIX! SHIT, IM BREAKING! ” Said Pegasi-3 when hes chased by both Valusian F-4 and F-5.

”Just keep them on the 2 circles merge, so you can turn back the tide easily! ” Pegasi-1 replied while hes tailing the Valusian F-5.

Unfortunately, another Valusian fighter is also tailing Pegasi-1 when hes tailing a Valusian fighter in front of him. And that causes him surrounded.

”HES GLUED ON MY TAIL, IM BREAKING- ” Said Pegasi-2 in panic when shes chased by 2 Valusian fighters in her behind.

She thought, this is the end of her life. Until…

*BOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOM*

I saved Pegasi-2 by shooting down 2 Valusian Fighters with my missile.

”Anyone need a help? ” I asked to the rest of Pegasi squadron when flying beside Pegasi-2 on her right side.

”Wyvern-1, you saved me. Thanks! ” Pegasi-2 replied gratefully.

Then Wyvern-2 flew at my right side and said.

”Hey, lets clear out those fighters and the bombers now! ” Said Wyvern-2.

Wasting no seconds, me, Wyvern-2, and the rest of the Pegasi squadron are shooting down the Valusian fighters and clearing the sky from the Valusian fighters and the bombers.

I got a missile lock toward the enemy fighter in front of me.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*

*BWOSH BWOSH*

Me and Wyvern-2 bagged both Valusian F-5 and F-4, while the Pegasi squadron bagged most of the Valusian B-52s and TU-95s.

”DAMMIT, THAT WAS THE ONE OF OURS! ” said the downed Valusian F-4 pilot after hes ejecting from his damaged plane.

I saw Wyvern-2 tailing the Valusian F-5 while playing cat and mouse.

”Hey, I could learn anything from this guy! ” And then, hes braking his F-16 and moving onto the Valusian F-5 six then said

”Naaaaahhhh ” then Wyvern-2 shoot down the Valusian F-5 with a gun and then said again.

*DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD*

”HA! THIS IS WYVERN-2, I BAGGED A BANDIT! ”

”This is Tulip-3, hes got me! Im ejecting! ” said the downed Valusian F-5 while ejecting.

After weve downed several Valusian fighters and their bombers. Weve seen several Valusian fighters and their bomber are retreating from this place. AWACS Capricorne said to us.

”Mission accomplished, all Valusian forces have been neutralized, while the rest of them are retreating! Return to base immediately! ”

I can hear tons of cheering from our troops through my comms channel after successfully repelling the invading Valusian force in just an hour.

Pegasi-2 said to me in relief.

”Oh my god, thank you so much Wyvern-1! I didn realize that Im about to die on my first mission, ”

Then I replied straightforwardly.

”No need to mention it, Ambriel. Im just doing my job as a pilot, ”

And then Pegasi-1 added.

”The point of being a good pilot is to save each other and work together as a team., ”

After that, all of us returning to Ephrata Airbase for the mission debriefing.

4 June 2003, 0538 hours…

”Good job. We saved Valoria Harbor from the invading Valusian Royal Forces, and weve successfully keeping the city damage to 0%. Next time, we will turn the tide of war. However, this is still the beginning of our major conflict with a country thats smaller than us. Dismissed! ” said the Commanding Officer.

After the mission debriefing, all of us leaving the briefing room in satisfaction and gratitude, because we
e made it out alive after this bloody mission.
