The Binding Fates

”Come on, Sister! ” Lukes voice echoed in Elyses mind when she found herself standing in a field full of beautiful and unique flowers. The scenery was beautiful. With full bloom flowers on the ground surrounding Luke and Elyse and clear blue sky and birds flying around.

Luke pulled her down and gave her a flower crown that is made with sunflowers. Luke laughs while Elyse stood there frozen to her spot.

”Is this a dream? ” She asked Luke but he didn answer. Elyse knew that Luke is dead but, just once. Just in this dream, she hope to never wake up and just stay with them.

”Come on Sister! Mama and Papa are waiting for you! ” He said and tries to pull her. Elyse knows something feels wrong, but she doesn want to wake up. If this is a dream — a chance to see them once again then i will not wake to this dream. She thought.

Luke pulled him in a dimension. The scenery went from peaceful and beautiful turns into cold yet calming when the bright full moon embraced them under a field full of one kind of flower.

”Spider Lily. ” She whispered in the air and the wind blew gently. The rose petals danced in the air as she watched Luke laughs with it.

”Sister, come with us. ” Elyse felt something was not right again. Behind Luke, her parents appeared. But this time, her Fathers head is missing while her mothers visible stab on her heart and on her stomach.

She felt pale on the scene she just saw. Remembering the day they were switfly killed by those mysterious yet dangerous creatures.

”N-no… ”

”Sister, why didn you save us? ” Luke asked while holding his head to his right hand, carrying it like a ball. Luke shed tears of blood and said, ”why you didn saved us? ”

Elyse tried to scream, but there was no voice to be heard. As if theres someone blocking her voice to be heard. A mysterious black and red smoke hugged her from behind, ”do you want revenge? ” It says. The voice sounded a temptation to her, but she shook her head.

She once again heard their voices, asking for help and revenge. In the middle of those voices, she heard a faint voice asking her to come back. It was gentle and warm to hear and she listened.

”Come back, Elyse. ”

Elyse opens her eyes to find herself in a unfamiliar ceiling. It was painted with angels and clouds with humans reaching their hands to them. She sat down and observed the surrounding area of the room. On the right side are bed shelf that was used to put a lamp on it. On the left side is a little book shelf. The room design were like from medieval times.

White and gold were the color of the furniture and the wall. In front of the bed is the fireplace, beside it is a little chair with a table on it. She stood up, approaching the table.

The table were filled with many letters and papers along side with a small quill pen and ink.

The wind blew from the outside and Elyses gaze went straight into it. She slowly opens the curtains and met the sunlight. On the outside, she saw a different world. It was so different on

her home on the countryside.

The outside were full of buildings and houses from afar. And also, The Aracnia Castle is visible than the countryside she lives. The Aracnia Castle is obviously far away from her home thats why she didn know what it looks like.

”So, you
e awake. ” A female voice entered the room and Elyse was startled. She looked into her and was mesmerized by the ladys beauty. With her shining black hair, pale white skin and red ruby eyes. She almost looked like the vampires in the history books she always read whenever she had a free time.

”The Vampires ” often known as ”The Four District Leaders of The Empire ”. They were the only vampires that was made into a supporting leader for The Master of the Empire. The Empire were divided into Four sections. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th District.

The book says, they were originally humans and because they ate a piece of the ”Eternal Stone ” and drank The Masters blood, they became immortal and resulted into transforming a vampire.

The young lady puts down the tray she carried all the way from the kitchen to her room. ”Let me introduce myself, I am Maria — The fourth leader of The 4th District. ” She said and slightly bows down her head as a sign of formality.

Maria, The 4th Leader of the 4th District. With her the strands of her hair fluttering in the air, and eyes that resembles the ruby gem shines whenever the sunlight reflects on it. Elyse was fixated by her beauty.

”O-oh.. Im sorry! I-im Elyse — a mere commoner, Your Grace. ” Elyse elegantly bows down her head which made Maria shocked. Not every commoner can do the formalities without any flaws. Indeed, Elyse is a perfect one and also The Chosen One.

Maria smiled and touched her head. ”It is not a mere commoner, Elyse. Every living person is equal. In my eyes, there is no status and power of politics. You may raise your head. ” Elyse was stunned by her graceful words. Maria just smiled.

Elyse stood up and Maria went to the window sill and looked outside, ”Thats what my Master always tells me. ” It was said that Maria came from a low class family. The first leader of the 4th district was a noble lady who has big ambitions and also very prideful and greedy.

Because of that, the first 4th leader betrayed The Master and was killed in the process of betraying her. That night, the moon is quiet and so the clouds. There were no stars nor clouds to accompany the bright red moon that looks almost like the color of blood.

After the betrayal, The Master went into searching for someone who is capable of not turning its back on her but also can handle the job easily. Thats when The Master met Maria.

”Uhm… may i know where am i? ” Elyse stuttered when she cuts Marias train of thoughts so she gaze up to her.

”Oh.. uhm. As you can see, you
e in the 4th district. ” Maria said. Elyse gripped her fist tight as she tried to be look strong — to not cry.

”Where is my family? Wheres Luke? ” Maria felt confused when Elyse mentioned the name Luke.

”Which Luke are you referring into? ” She asked. ”Im talking about my little brother. ” Maria froze as she tried to tell her the truth. She cannot find any right words to say and how to deliver the news to her.

”They
e dead… right? ” Elyse said with her voice almost a whisper. She felt weak and tears started to fall down in her face. She grips her hands tightly until they bleed while her arms are trembling in fear and in guilt.

”C-can i see my brother? ” She said. Maria felt guilty so she closes her eyes. ”Im sorry. ” Elyse remembers a way to save her family so she looked at her.

”You
e one of the vampires right? ” Maria nodded. ”Then why can you revive my family? ” Maria stares at her not knowing on how to say the right words.

”The book you are referring to is not true. ” Maria said, almost trembling.

”So you
e saying that some of the books are fake? You drank The Masters Blood isn ? So, you can use some of her powers to revive my family! ” She exclaimed.

”Elyse, please listen to me. ” She tried to calm Elyse down but she won listen. Maria knows the feeling of having your only family get killed in front of your eyes without even knowing the reason why.

As if fate get tired by playing your life theyll dumped you to the garbage and starts to ruin the life you always wanted.

”I cannot use my Masters powers and thats the problem. ” She said. Elyse looks at her with confused in her eyes.

”How?— ”

”Master is currently absent in the present. One night, she just suddenly disappeared and left with no trace. Thats why, Elyse you will enter the Academy. ” Her mind can catch up to the things that Maria spoke of.

”The Academy? What does this have to do with me— ”

”Let me explain. ” Maria starts to explain purpose of building The Academy.

The original purpose of it is to educate the ones who had talents and give choice to others who wanted to have a talent but cannot find which talent the person has. But when The Master mysteriously disappeared, The power balance in the Empire is broken.

The Anti-Empiralists are planning to wage war while The Empiralists are defending the Empire and the world that their master created. Everything fell into a complete chaos. But then, another mysterious Lady appears out of nowhere and said to be sent by The Master. From that day onwards, she became The New Msster. But everything that the old Master who went missing created for centuries — the new master ruins it.

Which made the four leaders felt suspicions about the new master introducing herself as The Envoy that The Master sent.

”Thats why you need to enter The Academy and aim for a fair rank. You need to enter be at the top 10 students to enter the Student Council— ” Elyse raises her hand to make Maria stop talking. She can still process everything in her mind.

”Im sorry, maybe im too fast to tell you this. ” Maria said.

”Please, Elyse. If you promise us to help me find our Master — our true Master then she can help you. I promise you that. ” Maria reassures Elyse and she stepped out of her room while Elyse stared at the wall with a blank face.

Marias words still echoed in her mind. She closes her eyes and whispered in the air, ”what am i suppose to do, Mother? ”
