Jier wouldn’t break a promise after making it, so after talking with Feng Wu he immediately called Elena and got the information he needed.

It turned out Ming Xi wasn’t in the virtual world.
As a fifth-year class representative, he and another fifth year had taken the second years out to train.
Though the destination wasn ’t dangerous, they wouldn ’t be able to return until they were done.

Feng Wu was disappointed when she heard this.
Ming Xi had already left so there was no way for her to find him.

Jier felt his chest stiffle at her expression.
Jaws would drop if any one knew his mood.

Because who was Jier? This guy had been a little demon since he was a baby.
Among the aristocratic young in Yanai, he was the most difficult.
So many suffered under his tyrant hands.
Him? Soft on someone? You surely jest!

Jier took a deep breath of determination and asked, “Xiao Wu, should I go to the virtual world to accompany you?”

In fact he had a lot of other responsibilities.
As a god successor his time was precious.
His father hoped he would grow to be a strong and qualified successor.
He didn’t want Jier to fall behind the other heirs, so he gave Jier assignments every day to improve and better himself.
Only in this way would his father feel at ease.

Unfortunately while his father was at ease, he wasn’t.
Such high intensity training everyday was hard.
He had time to eat but no time to relax or unwind.
Every day he missed more and more the free time he had at school.

“Are you sure?” Feng Wu’s face brightened.

“Sure.
But I can’t stay for long, at most 2 hours a day.
Can you play on your own the other times?” He was worried she’d be deceived by some liar.

She practically had the word “fool” stamped on her face.
It would be shocking if no one tried to take advantage of her.

“No problem.”

With that settled the two made an appointment to meet.

It would be Jier’s first time in the virtual world.
He had been too young before and was not allowed to enter, but no one was going to stop him now after he earned a top-level stone on his own.

Before he could join Feng Wu he needed to leave Novice village as soon as possible, and to do that he needed to level up.
So while Jier worked on quests, Feng Wu worked on earning money in West Flower city.

She enjoyed eating so money was important.
Having money meant having food, therefore if she wanted to eat, she needed money.

She successfully completed two errands and one monster elimination mission.
In total she earned one gold coin.

Dead monsters dropped small coins when killed, so monster eliminations were her favorite type of missions.
Even if it was small change, it was still money.
She happily collected every coin dropped.

Now she could buy more buns! The sword in her hand flew out more smoothly.

Currently she was in the middle of an elimination mission, this time for a group of mountain bandits outside West Flower.

There were 50 humanoid monsters guarding the base of the mountain with a guard every 3 to 5 steps.

Feng Wu did a reconnaissance of the area before settling on an entry point with fewer guards.
She went up the mountain, a solitary sword master with a single sword.

She barely started fighting when she ran into people she knew.

“Xiao Wu!” The cry was quickly followed by a body that flew into Feng Wu’s arms.

“Rain!”[ID] Even though she still had a deadpan expression, her voice went up an octave.
It was obvious she was happy.

“Oh my god, what a coincidence! I didn’t expect to see Xiao Wu here!” Wind ran over and affectionately mussed her hair.

Feng Wu obediently let them have their way.
She wasn ’t annoyed at all.

“Xiao Wu, did you also take the elimination mission?” Pei Qing was of course also very happy to see her.
He toyed with his hair that had turned back to its original ashen gray color.

“Yes.” Feng Wu nodded.

“That’s great! We can team up.
Listen Xiao Wu, the monsters in the world are strange.
They’re as strong as the ones outside but they won’t stay dead no matter how many times you kill them! It’s like a crazy nightmare…” Rain filled Feng Wu in while adding a bit of her own embellishment to the tale.

Strong? Feng Wu thought carefully back to the monsters she killed along the way.
Her conclusion? Not strong! Anyone she could defeat or couldn ’t at least keep up with her were weak.
So if defeat = yes, then you were not strong!

Feng Wu wasn’t bored anymore because her friends were with her.
The four members of the Masters team were together again.
The only one missing was Jier.
Together the four of them killed their way up the mountain easily.
From the way they were chatting as they climbed, you’d think they were on vacation.

They made quick work of it because there was four of them, but unexpectedly they ran into another group before they made it half way up the mountain.

The people in the group were beautiful and dazzling, everyone was equipped with silver level items.
It was obvious they were a bunch of rich hot shots.
