The group went around looking for a place to eat after splitting the reward they got grom the guild.

They weren’t rich but luckily prices weren’t high in the virtual world.
They made a small fortune from the bandit elimination mission and it was more than enough for a good meal.

They found a promising looking restaurant and went inside.
The waiter led them to a private room where they ordered several dishes and a few specialties.
They chatted while they waited.

“Xiao Wu, when did you come to the virtual world?” Rain asked.

“Three days ago.”

“Oh, we got here seven days ago, so we got here before you.
There are four major cities in this world.
Who would have expected we’d end up in the same city at the same time.
Destiny!”

“Xiao Wu, aren’t you curious how we got a seeking stone?” Since Feng Wu hadn’t asked, Pei Qing brought it up instead.

“Task reward,” was the simple reply from Feng Wu.

Pei Qing nearly spat his tea out, Wind nearly choked, and Rain’s jaw nearly dropped to the floor.

They looked at Feng Wu in disbelief.
They hadn’t said anything about it and she knew already.
Haven ’t seen each other in awhile and she knew what they were thinking.

“How… how did you know?” stammered Wind.

“Jier said so,” was Feng Wu’s serious reply.

Was Captain Jier so all knowing? Even though they weren’t together, the captain was still thinking of them! He even knew they were rewarded three stones.

In reality it was all a beautiful misunderstanding.

Jier had told her about the school’s stones when they first talked about them.
He said students earned points by completing tasks.
They could then exchange their points for better items like higher quality seeking stones.

The royal family and other organizations used the same method to parcel out their stones as well.
Not many people sold them, but some were willing to give them away as a reward for specific tasks.
Jier had told her all this so she knew people could get seeking stones by completing tasks.

The three guys completely misunderstood Feng Wu ’s answer.
They thought Jier had been keeping on eye on them and that ’s how he knew they had earned some good B-level stones.

“The captain cares so much about us! He’s watching us even from school.” Wind wiped his face, his expression unreadable.

Rain was also moved.
“The captain is so good! Who knew he cared so much about us.
We have to go visit him soon!”

“I thought the captain didn’t care..

turns out I misunderstood him.” Pei Qing bowed his head in repentance.
He had wronged the captain in his heart.

Feng Wu: What happened?

The four soon forgot about Jier as they chatted and ate.

“Xiao Wu, let me tell you, we had awesome luck.
Grand Duke Arnold posted a mission at the guild to find his missing son.
The reward was three seeking stones.
Hundreds of other people took the mission but we were lucky enough to find the criminal who was holding his son.
The guy didn’t have any skills, so stupid Wind beat him easily.”

“Haha! That guy was so unlucky.
He confessed to the whole thing.
Someone paid him a bunch of gold coins to hide the child in his house.
But when the person never came back, he thought he ’d make even more money by trafficking the boy.”

“The guy didn’t know the kid was the duke’s son.
He thought it was just an ordinary child because the kid was wearing ordinary clothes.
If he’d known it was the duke’s son, no way would he have dared.”

Feng Wu ate and bobbed her head up and down from time to time as they told her how they ended up with three seeking stones.

The four parted ways after their meal.
Pei Qing, Wind, and Rain still had things to do so they left the virtual world.
Feng Wu stayed and walked around outside the city looking for monsters to fight.

Mob beasts reminded her too much of her animal friends.
She was much better at fighting humanoid mobs.
Her sword flew out easily against those.

A group of two guys and three girls were watching Feng Wu not too far away.
One of the girls exclaimed, “That girl is so powerful! She can solo kill so many monsters.”

The three girls were all second-year Pharmacy division students at Xingguang Holy academy.
They didn’t have strong combat abilities so the first thing they did upon entering the world was partner up with some powerful guys.

It was easy to do since they were all beauties from Xingguang.
