After having a peaceful night’s sleep on a big, soft bed for the first time since the start of the apocalypse, everyone was in much better spirits than usual the next morning.
Zhao Qiyang even softly hummed a song while he stretched his arms.

Yin Yiliu took out some instant canned meat porridge from her space, and the few of them hurriedly finished it.
Since they now had a refrigerator, Zhao Sihui had frozen a large piece of cooked meat in advance the night before, intending to take it out for the little wolf to eat in the morning.

But when she took it out and smelled the foul stench coming from beneath the frost on the surface of the meat, her expression changed slightly.
She shot an apologetic look at the expectant little wolf pup beside her and rubbed its big head.

“I’m sorry, but there’s no more meat for you.”

Seeing this, Yin Yiliu took two bags of roasted chickens out from her space.
Jin Yang asked Zhao Sihui to tear off half of a chicken for themselves, while the rest was given to the little wolf as breakfast.

They did not expect that even with the presence of a refrigerator, the mutation of meat still could not be stopped.
Mutated bacteria in the air continued to evolve.

It was still fine when humans had their own natural defence mechanism, but now as long as there was a small wound not treated in time, it would deteriorate and become purulent in a short time, and in serious cases, it would rot and cause death.

After finishing the porridge, they dressed lightly, brought firearms, locked the door to their house, before heading to the Points Hall.

This time around eight or nine in the morning was when the number of people who came to the Points Hall to take on tasks was at its peak.
The arrival of Jin Yang and his teammates attracted a lot of attention.
Many evolved people in City Z Base had already heard that the new Team called Morning Sun, which had just arrived the day before, consisted of two middle-level and one high-level evolved people.
They even had an extremely rare mutated animal.

Although there were many powerful people hidden in the city, not everyone was an evolved person, and most of them were only low-level.
Even the middle-level list had only twenty names recorded.

At the moment, all forces within the base were all secretly observing Jin Yang and his teammates.

Their information had long been reported to Li Zhenjiang and Niu Feihuang from the moment they entered the city, and the men under them had basically figured out the relationship and abilities of Jin Yang and his teammates, but everyone was still staying put.

And the information about Jin Yang’s leg problems was naturally in their hands as well.

When they entered the Points Hall, Jin Yang was in a wheelchair.
Almost at the moment they showed up, the noisy and crowded hall fell silent, and pairs of eyes openly and secretly sizing them up poured onto them like floodwater.

The black wolf pup’s senses were very keen, and some of these people’s gazes were wanton and unrestrained, making the pup feel very uncomfortable.
It ground its claws on the ground in annoyance and bared its teeth as its eyes shone.

Most of the people sitting outside the Points Hall were ordinary people, intending to use handmade goods, seeds collected outside, and so on in exchange for food.
At first glance, their items all appeared to be useless.

Jin Yang’s fingertips tapped lightly on the little wolf’s back, and only then did the black wolf resist the urge to pounce and tear at others, slowly taking two steps back.

Naturally, their subtle movements were also noticed by the prying eyes.
It seemed that the owner of this mutated animal was the man in a wheelchair.

They arrived at the hall early in the morning to select tasks to complete in exchange for points.
At present, all transactions at City Z Base were based on points.
After successfully connecting electricity and signal, the research institute developed magnetic cards.
Everyone who registered to reside in City Z would receive one.

This was the card used to record the points one owned in the base, and at the same time functioned as a person’s identity card.
This card could be used for all payments and transfers.

The house they lived in wasn’t small, and the daily accommodation fee, plus water and electricity bills, was a significant expense.

Although Yin Yiliu had enough food in her space to exchange for it, that would be too noticeable, almost as if she was announcing to the world: I’m rich, quickly rob me!

Jin Yang calmly manoeuvred the fully automatic wheelchair to a stop in front of the Points Hall.
Yin Yiliu stood on his lap and saw rows of wooden signs behind the hall, each with a corresponding number on it, probably the points awarded for each task.

The little rabbit stood on tiptoe on Jin Yang’s lap, clasped the table with her short hands, looked up, sweeping her gaze over one task after another, and clicked her tongue in her heart.

All of the tasks that paid batter wasn’t as simple as going out on patrol, but to actually fight against mutated animals and plants.
The prey they had hunted should be handed over to the Points Hall, and the points would be added into their Points Cards.

Those tasks with more than three digit point rewards on the board were either hunting mutated animals above level two or collecting the seeds of various dangerous mutated plants.
If anyone could bring back the entire plant, the reward points would be even higher.

These kinds of tasks were generally issued by the research institute.
It was said that they had extracted a special substance from the stems of mutated plants, which was likely to be inextricably linked to the cause of the apocalypse.

Jin Yang chose a task to hunt down a level two mutated animal and a task to collect mutated camphor tree seeds outside of the city.
